No.... I'm not watching American Idol....

Around Christmas time, I lost my earring posts.

I bought new ones, but they wouldn't stay in because of my amazingly fat ear lobes.

This lead to hyperventalating(I do this under stress) homecoming night because my mother INSISTED that I wear earrings until she finally poked through my scabbed over lobes.

I thus gave up after that and my ears have since closed up.

What does this have to do with today? Or the fact that I'm not at church? Or my somewhat confusing blog title?

rewind. Today I got out of school at 10:30. My mom took me out to lunch and took me shopping (as we always do when everyone else is in school.) We walked past Icing and my mom asked me if I wanted to get my ears repearced. I probably would have put it off, except my school is switching to a modified uniform this next year, and I wanted to wear funky earrings to stand out. Or just wear them for fun. Or because I have a lot of earrings.

whatever. The point is, I wanted them repearced.

So my mother filled out all the paperwork and I sat in the chair thinking about how much I hate pain. The person did the first ear, and it felt just like I remembered it feeling like: a stapler going through my ear. She goes to do the other ear, and I hear "Uh-oh"

At this point, my vision clouds up to the point where I couldn't see anything. The earring had not gone all the way through my aforementioned earlobes. The lady finally got the earring back out the front, and I had to put my head back on the wall. I was about to pass out. She kept asking me, "Are you o.k.? You look kinda yellow. You look kinda pale. Are you sure you're o.k.?"

So I had her do it again and it BARELY went through. But it's in at this point, and that's all that matters.

So I start to get up from the chair and supposedly wobble a bit. Both the woman and my mother grabbed me at the same time as I went down to the floor. I probably sat there with my head between my knees for 20-30 minutes, and I'm not quite sure I was conscious for all of it. The lady gave me a sucker (usually they only give them to little kids as a way to say, "GOOD JOB YOU DIDN'T CRY!" but she said I needed some sugar in me. I don't ever think anyone has ever told me this. So, I went home feeling like I had been drugged. I was so dizzy, I couldn't even walk straight. I slept until about 5:45 and my mom woke me up and told me that she didn't want me going tonight and I said I felt fine but it's best I didn't because I've had to stop about 10 times while typing this to just get a break from looking at the screen. So no. I'm not playing hookey and watching American Idol(I haven't even been into this season.)

Moral of the story? Keep your earrings in and you'll always have Jesus time. Or something like that.

Did you know that they keep the vodka with the energy drinks at Jewel? I'm told that people often mix their red bull with their vodka to add flavor, but I'm no expert and it's a good thing.

AND (drum roll please) I have a summer job.

I should be fine by then
MMMMMMMMM PUDDING!
